MISSION

The The Ballard Family Foundation is a not-for-profit private foundation whose mission is to make a difference in the lives of others and to provide financial support to individuals in need.

Our primary focus is on student education, and we work to accomplish our goals by targeting educational initiatives and academic programs of colleges and universities.  In addition, the Foundation supports public charities, and churches through the funding of specific programs, and capital needs which are aimed toward improving the lives of others.

The Foundation intends to achieve its mission and goals in the following ways:

  • By providing scholarship grants to students enrolled in an accredited four-year institution whose unmet financial needs put them at-risk for temporarily discontinuing their studies or dropping out entirely

  • By providing scholarship grants to students who are or have been foster care and desire to attend an accredited four-year university, two-year college or licensed trade/vocational school

  • By providing support or support services to students to increase their likelihood of academic success and graduation

  • By providing grants to public charities who have a mission consistent with making a impact on the lives of others either directly or by their community efforts

  • By supporting the needs of foster care youth currently enrolled in a Transitional Living Program (TLP) or Independent Living Program (ILP)
